the QIC-Devices are "/dev/rmt*" for rewind on close or "/dev/nrmt/ for non
rewind on close (for scsii and non scsii Drives). The major unit number must
be 12. Minor numbers depents on type:
0 automatic reconize
2 QIC-11 ( 24MB, 4 track, 10,000 ftpi)
4 QIC-24 ( 60MB, 9 track, 10,000 ftpi)
6 QIC-120 (120MB, 15 track, 10,000 ftpi)
8 QIC-150 (150MB, 18 track, 10,000 ftpi)
you have to edit the file "/usr/src/linux/include/tpqic02.h" (Linux 1.0.8)
to config the kernel and recompile the kernel bevor using the devices.
Excuse my bad english.
