I have a computer which uses the Adaptec AIC-7770 SCSI BIOS.
Does Linux support this? I tried installing Linux Slackware and SLS
distributions and they both looked for the Adaptec 15XX SCSI Controller Card.
This computer has the SCSI controller built into the motherboard.
I would appreciate any help on this.

I will try to support motherboards with the chip, but I need to
know how the chip is connected to the motherboard ( I assume its
an EISA board). People with motherbaords that have the chip on them
should email me whatever info they have on the board and how the
aic7770 is wired on if they would like to test a driver when it
is ready.
I've just been bequeathed an Intel X-series computer which apparently
has a SCSI controler integrated into its motherboard. The SCSI
controller is build around the Adaptec AIC-7770 SCSI chip, so I
had high hopes of being able to use it under Linux.
However, when I try to boot up Linux (Slackware) it doesn't find any
SCSI drives.
