BOCA PCI LAN FTP problem

BOCA PCI LAN FTP problem

Post by Jeff Bentl » Thu, 16 Feb 1995 01:02:06

I have problems when receiving files with ftp.
The get starts fine then it just hangs.
I did a packet trace with my router.
The two sides talk fine for a while then my box quits responding, and the
remote side keeps resending the same packet until it gives up.
All other interactive traffic works fine all the time.

I am running Slackware 2.1.0 on a P90 intel board.
I have a NCR based SCSI controler with no problems.
The problem happens with kernel 1.1.81 and 1.1.91

Has anyone else had this problem?
Please help

Thanks,

1. BOCA PCI ethernetcard and ftp

I'm curious if anyone else out there is having problem with their BOCA PCI
ethernet card, based on the Lance chip, and out-going ftp sessions...

Incoming ftp connections are fine, but when I try to ftp out, I can only
get partial of a complete file and then it stops there an idle.  I'll try
recompile ftp to see if it'll help... however it happens on ncftp also, so I
imagine the card is faulty??
