Hi :
recently, I got hold of a ups-2.45.2.tar.Z patch to linux ( BTW it is a
de* for X-window environment ). I uncompress it and view it in an editor,
what I see is the following:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are preliminary diffs for getting Mark Russell's UPS de* running
under Linux.  Please apply them to the version of UPS available from:

        ftp.x.org:/contrib/ups-2.45.2.tar.Z

If you do try them out and have any comments please send them to me,

if everything tests out OK.

Just the first few lines from the patch file.

Then I tried to do "sh <patch_filename>", fully hoping that it is just a shell
script: I get the following error messages:

1. UPS-2.45.2-linux

Hello, linuxists,
I have some problems for compiling ups-2.45.2 under linux. I have downloaded
ups-2.45.2.tar.Z from ftp.x.org and applied the diffs from sunsite
(ups-2.45.2-linux-0.2.diff.gz). When the makefile try to compile
st_parse.c it complain because it can't find the include file stab.h.
Is this file coming with ups or am I missing something???
I'm using 0.99pl14 and gcc 2.4.5.
Thank's for your help.
J.F.Rouanet.
