Hello All,
My Linux 1.1.18 (InfoMagic CD-ROM set dated June 1994) failed to work
with my HP Vectra N2 4/25 computer equipped with the Cirrus Logic video
chip GD-5434-HC-B. The documentation on the XFree86 said that the driver
for the chip is un-tested but may work since the video chip is largely
compatible with the older CL chips. It does not work out for me. When I
plug in another ET-4000 chip set video card, the X window work okay.
Does anyone can provide any info. or pointer as to whether a driver has
been developed for that chip OR there may be some workaround switches, etc.?
