I'm running Linux kernel 1.0.9 (Slackware 2.0) with sound driver 2.90-2.
I've got a PAS16 with SCSI-2 port, and an NEC CDR-500 (3x) internal
cdrom attached to it. I've got an internal sound cable connecting the
cdrom to the PAS16 so I can get audio through the sound card as well as
through the cdrom audio jack.
It seems to work great in general, but I have a minor problem when I use
xmcd 1.3 to listen to audio CD's.
They play OK, and I've got xmcd configured correctly, but if I listen to
the CD through the sound card jack the volume is very low even at 100%
volume. Obviously in this mode the volume knob on the NEC is not used.
If I listen via the NEC audio jack I can of course adjust the volume to
what I want.
I presume that there's some volume setting for the PAS16 card I need to
modify, but I have no idea how to go about that...
Any ideas? Thanks,
