Don't say you're running bash 1.14.3
It has a bug in exit status which makes this test fail.

1. building perl on AIX 3.1.5 -- "op/pat" test fails sometimes -- help?
I've been trying to get perl built on our RS/6000 running AIX 3.1.5. The make
goes fine -- no errors -- but the "make test" always fails on op/pat. If I try
it manually, it fails with a seg fault after test 47. If I hack out everything
up to 48, I get "48 not OK" and the remaining tests pass. If I put test 48 in a
file all by its lonesome, it works. What's up with this? I've tried some short
perl scripts using basic pattern matching (the grep thing from page 7 of the
camel book -- hey, I got perl to learn it, all right? :) and they seem to work
well.
Could it just be that the test script is flawed? If not, has anyone else seen
this under AIX? More importantly, has anyone else seen this under AIX and
figured it out?
Oh -- I pretty much deferred to Configure's judgment, using the aix_rs hints
and just patting the keyboard.
