Mach32 / XFree 3.1 / high color / dotclocks

Post by Harth Georg » Thu, 23 Feb 1995 11:55:55

Does anyone know why I can only get a max dotclock of 67.5 from my
ATI Graphics Ultra Pro EISA when trying to access 16 bit color.
In 256 color mode I get a max dot of 135

I need (want) to be able to get at least 70 Hz refresh out of my
Gateway 1572fs crystalscan.  I am currently using Xfree86 3.1
Would updating my X server to 3.1.1 help?

ps If someone happens to have the Horiz and Vert specs on the Gateway
Crystalscan 1572 FS monitor, I would greatly appreciate them.

1. No cursor with Mach32 & XFree 3.1

A friends computer with a Orchid Kelvin 64 and XFree 3.1 also has cursor
problems. There is a cursor but it is a large black square and does not
change when x-resources would have it change (hand, arrow, I-bar, etc). I
have 0% luck figuring this one out!
