Very Computer

I am new to Linux and have the Red Hat Linux 7 Bible book but it does
not help me installing my network adapter smc 1211tx.

I downloaded the software from SMC.com for Linux and the file is
called RTL8139.c

My question is how the hell do Install my Network adapter drivers so I
can connect to the internet...?

If anyone of you is kind enough please help me out. I read something
about compiling but I have no frickN clue exactly what or how to do
that.

I need some basic (crayola crayon) help that explains how to get my
adapter to work.

The EXACT information for the EXACT same netcard is EXACTLY what i'm here
looking for myself .........lol.

Any correspondance on how to do this ?
