upgrading to pl14

upgrading to pl14

   I have slackware 1.1.0 installed and would like to upgrade to pl14...
what do I need to get to do the upgrade (I've already got the source, but
I have a feeling there is more to it than just compiling the kernel).

1. Upgrade path pl14->1.0

What would be the safest and easiest way for me to upgrade my 0.99 pl14
installation to linux 1.0?

Has anyone done this? If so, any gotchas?
