I've tried for weeks now to get my 486DX-33 with 12 Megs of RAM to run
X-Windows but try as I might I cannot and it's really starting to peeve me
off. I've done everything I thought I'm supposed to do. Make sure thtt my
xconfig file links to the right binary (XF86_256). I even ran the automated
program
ConfigXF86 and still no luck. HELP!!!
I have a Cirrus Logic graphics card with 1MB of RAM. Its a GD5428 which
supports resolutions up to 1024 by 768 in 256 colours. Why can't I get it
to work.
All that happens is that the entire window goes dark and a mouse cursor appears
in the middle of my screen. I can move the mouse pointer around (GREAT) but
no X-Windows. i can't figure it.
Suggestions please..
