cannot setup printer and cd-rom under linux 1.1.52

Hello there,

I need some help with my printer, a HP-deskjet 520. I cannot seem to get it
working, when I try to print something I get or a blank page or just a few
words in a staircase-effect. I don't no what to do next. I've already tried to
use a filter to convert LF to CRLF but that wasn't working either.

Also I've got some problems with my matshusita 563b cd-rom. At boottime it's
being initialized at address 0x630 (connected via a sounblaster pro
compatible). But when I try to mount it I get an error "cannot read
superblock". As far as I know both soundcard and cd-rom are properly setup and
everything was included during the compiling of the kernel.

Who's able to help me out.

1. HELP: CDU33A CD & kernel after 1.1.52 - cannot mount!

Hello, hope someone can help with this:

With kernels newer than 1.1.52, my cdu33a will not mount.
I've tried v1.1.67, v1.1.95, v1.2.5 and v1.3.7. A lilo
parameter causes the kernels to recognise the CD drive
at startup but when I use mount, it hangs.

I've verified that the kernels support iso9660, that
they have the cdu31a driver compiled in and that
my cdrom device file is major 15, minor 0.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Eric.
