How do I compile Emacs 18.59 ?

Post by David Dunl » Thu, 10 Nov 1994 06:15:37

I was wondering if it is possible to compile emacs 18.59
on Linux. It did not compile stright away when I tried it
and it doesn't seem to have linux under  the supported
machines in the file etc/MACHINES?
Thanx in advance.

1. can't compile emacs 18.59 on solaris

Emacs 18.59 doesn't want to compile on my sparc station
running solaris 2.2. Does one have to have a solaris specific
version of emacs to compile?

If so where can I get this version of emacs?
