Keyboard Woes

Okay, get this.  I have a keyboard that acted strange ... it wouldn't work
with left arrow and such.  Fine.

I get my old '286's keyboard, set to AT, and plug it in.  Works like a
charm.  Then I reboot. Ok again.  Then I try to log in ....

Full of repeats .... like 'rrrrroooooottttttttt' .... any ideas ?

I'm running 1.1.59 ro 1.1.75 (same effect), with a hacked shadow3.1.2 and its
version of getty (uugetty ?).   BTW, shadow3.1.2 seems flacky, IMO.

Remove the section of setup.S where the keyboard repeat rate
is set maximal, or call kbdrate in /etc/rc.local.

Keyboard Woes

I have touble using lredir to redirect /cdrom to drive F: under
dosemu.

 * I'm using kernel 1.1.18, dosemu 52   (standard slakware dist)
 * Sony CD-ROM (/dev/cdu31a) attached to a Soundblaster card.
 * lredir says
      Error 55 redirecting drive F: to LINUX\FS/CDROM
 * If I put the line
      disk { wholedisk "/dev/cdu31a" 1 readonly }
   in /etc/dosemu.conf, then dosemu does not start .... all the
   debugging flag says 0.

I can get to my cdrom from DOS using F:/cdrom in dosemu but many
commercial dos-based CDROMS assume the cdrom is installed in a
drive letter, so that F: would work but F:\cdrom would not.

Thanks!
