NEC P6 device driver problem?

NEC P6 device driver problem?

Post by Barth Andre » Wed, 10 Aug 1994 18:42:00

I have a NEC P6 plus printer at a 486-33DX box. Under DOS is works
fine but not so with linux: what ever I send to /dev/lp1 is not sent
to the printer. The process writing to the device blocks but nothing
else happens. I tried an other printer instead (Mannesmann Tally MT81)
and it worked fine so the problem seems to be printer specific.

Has anybody an idea what the problem may be and how it can be solved?

Thanks in advance

Andy

1. dvi driver for nec p6?

Hi there.

I'm running Linux and LaTeX, and I'd like to print on my Nec P6 (24 pin
matrix printer). Is there a driver anywhere, and where can I get one?

Thanks,
Peter
