Fingering my machine gives a DLL Jump error

Fingering my machine gives a DLL Jump error

Post by Brian Blackmo » Sat, 30 Jul 1994 05:38:53

Quite simply, fingering my machine gives...

[localhost]
        libc.so.4 (DLL Jump 4.5pl19) => /lib/libc.so.4.5.26
gryphon%

Both in.fingerd and finger work when called directly, but not when called
from inetd. I've tried recompiling finger and fingerd, staticly and
dynamically (compiling staticly gives a static linkage error) and it still
doesn't work.

Can anyone help?

Replies by email please, I can't afford the to download this newsgroup.

means you have to load the libc.so.4.5.26. Calls within your source
are not defined. Or maybe try to find a older version of finger.
