I have Linux .99pl11 and Xfree86 Version 1.3 installed on my 386. I have a
video card that identifies itself at boot as:
CL-GD 540x/542x VGA Bios Version 1.00d
Copyright 1992 Cirrus Logic Incorporated. All rights reserved.
Copyright 1987-1990 Quadtel Corp. All rights reserved.
I have an Acer AverView 34T SVGA monitor.
I've not had much luck so far getting the timing stuff in the Xconfig file
set up so that both the monitor and card work together. I'd like to be able to
use 1024x768 resolution, even though it may flicker just a bit.
I wonder if anyone else has a similiar setup who has managed to get a working
X? If so, would you mind sharing your Xconfig with me?
If you have this, or any info that might help me; I'd appreciate hearing from
you. If possible, please reply via e-mail. This will a) help reduce net.traffic
and b) make it more likely that I'll see what you send. News gets expired rather
quickly around here because of disk space shortages, and I don't always get to
read News everyday....
Thanks in advance for any help.
