WANTED: Seyon button to kill a seyon started term

Post by The Crossjamm » Fri, 05 Nov 1993 07:40:35

I have a button on my Seyon console to start up term and it works great.
Does anyone have a good way to kill the same term from a Seyon button.
I can't figure out how to actually kill the local term process.

Thanks.

I use the following "script" (barely qualifies as such) called "unterm"
-----
transmit "0000000000000000^M"
waitfor "remote-prompt"
transmit "exit^M"
waitfor "NO CARRIER"
quit

-----
where remote-prompt is the prompt you get on the remote machine

and have the following in my .Xdefaults

Seyon*quickKey1.visible: on
Seyon*quickKey1.action: RunScript(unterm);
Seyon*quickKey1.label: UnTerm

works fine.--

1. Help on seyon, how to get larger font on the seyon term emulator?

: hello,
:       My Internet site seems to be not having an option RN for posting.
: So, I took a forward command (i.e F) and deleted the subject and am trying
: to see if this gets to linux world. If not excuse me.

: Hello linux gurus:

:       I have seyon in my X on linux. I tried several ways by putting
: font option in the seyon starting commands.

: following are my seyon starting commands.

:    48 pp1 S     0:00 seyon -noemulator -modem /dev/modem
:    47 v01 S     0:34 seyon-emu -name Seyon -T Seyon Terminal Emulator -n Terminal -e sey
:    50 pp1 S     0:01 seyon -noemulator -modem /dev/modem
:    51 pp1 S     0:10 seyon -noemulator -modem /dev/modem

: what I tried include putting xterm for -noemulator with bigger font option.

You can change the seyon-term (thats an xterm!) with Ctrl-LeftMouse (or is it
RightMouse) try it OR you can change this in your .Xdefaults resp. in your
../app-defaults/seyon ... I recommend the 1st one (you can see more at one
time) and change only if necessary ... Hope that helps. fjk

: But that did not help. When I connect to some other machines I have hard time
: reading because of size of character display.

: Your help is appreciated.

: Thanks
: Jagan
