Does anyone know of a spell checker for LaTex/Tex that runs under
Linux ? If so, is there an FTP site (and associated directory)
where it could be found ?

What about "ispell -t filename.tex" ?
I can't check it here because of too few space I haven't installed
it here at the offices 386, but I'll check it at home. The man
page for ispell says, that -t is for file in tex-mode, so it should
do what you want.
