pl12 and <Meta>-<Shift>-<Key>

On upgrading to 99p12, I've found that holding the alt key and
then pushing shift-<another key> no longer works (ie it should be
sending ESC-<shifted key>, but doesn't do *anything*). I've looked at
the keyboard maps, and can't seem to see a fix there. Am I missing
something simple or is this just plain broken?

I have a 10 GB UDMA IDE drive formatted with Windows.  The first partition
is FAT32, and the second is NTFS.  I can successfully mount the first, but
not the second.  Any ideas?

Suse 7.2 on i86
the drive is mounted on /dev/hdc, and I CAN see hda1, but not hda2
