Help with X on linux

Post by Kenneth Benjamin Martin » Fri, 18 Mar 1994 09:29:33

I am trying to run X on my 486. Basically i did  a link to
Xmono to try and get it working there first.

startx spits out:

Couldn't open RGB DB /usr/X386/lib/X11/rgb
xterm: can't load library '//libXt.so.3 no such library
what do I do?

when I installed the whole thing there were some
gzip:stdin: invali.... done'S

and

tar: Skipping to next file header...done'S

and finally while installing zxfix  i got:

cannot link libXt.so.3.0.1 to lib/libXt.so.3 No such file or directory... done

lib/libXt.so.3 is there...

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

...while we are at it one other question.. when running man I get:

/usr/lib/manpath.config not found..

Sorry if these are very basic questions,
Thank you in advance,

Kennnn

ps.
