NEC CD-ROM and Adaptec AVA-1505 scsi controller??

Post by alwin.bakke.. » Thu, 16 Jun 1994 14:12:14

Hi all,

A friend of mine bought a NEC CD-ROM with an adaptec AVA-1505 scsi controller.
Does anybody know if this works in combination with Linux and if yes,
where I can get kernel patches (if necessary). I don't know any more
details because he is in Germany and I am not...

Thanks in advance,

Alwin Bakkenes

1. Adaptec AVA-1505 CD-ROM SCSI Kit Supported?

I just order the latest Linux [March] distribution from InfoMagic on
CD-ROM and I'm not sure it will support my Chinon 535 SCSI CD-ROM with
the Adaptec AVA-1505 TOTAL CD KIT (AIC 6260 and 6360 family adapter).

Does anybody have any experience using Linux with the above SCSI adaptor?.

Thank you in advance,

Jorge Padron
