Seyon crashes and cu fails (closing SLIP?)

Post by Kelly Murr » Thu, 13 Jan 1994 06:38:02

I've been having problems not being able to access the modem
after running SLIP.  I terminate the SLIP session by
killing the dip process and exiting seyon or cu (which I use to dial).

It seems after this, I can't use cu to dial anymore --
it says "modem in use" or "can't create /usr/spool/uucp/sometmpname".

But seyon will work, but then crashes after a few minutes.

Anyone know what I might be doing wrong, or how to prevent this??

Is there a right way to terminate SLIP?

Thanks for any assistance.
