Hello,

        Can anyone solve this problem: only root can run zgv 2.0 and the
        system reports 'svgalib: Cannot get I/O permissions' when the
        other a/c run this program.

Did you make sure the binary was setuid root? (chown root zgv ; chmod a+s zgv)

Yup, only root can use the SVGAlib library.  Make zgv set-uid root by
typing the following:

        chown root /usr/bin/zgv
        chmod +s /usr/bin/zgv

while you are at it why not get zgv 2.3? :)
