Download, the latest rpm of PPOE that you need from Rufus at
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=rp-pppoe
This will give you a new feature, then:
1) install it (it should install in /usr/sbin/)
2) start it with the command, adsl-setup
3) answer the questions:
b) Ethernet interface number, ie, 0
c) Link on demand or stay up permanently - enter "no" for permanent
d) Primary DNS, ie, 00.0.000.00
e) Secondary DNS, ie, 00.0.000.00
f) Enter your account password, ie <password>
g) Choose system firewall protection, ie, 1 (standalone system)
h) Accept changes, ie, yes
4) adsl-start
That's it you should be connected.
Other commands you need are:
adsl-stop
adsl-status (checks to see if line is up)
