Hello there,

I want to disable core dumps for the group 'users' on my system. I
edited the file /etc/security/limits.conf on my redhat system, with the

Check your /etc/profile
There's probably a line in it that looks like this:
ulimit -C 100000

If you change this to
ulimit -C 0
no core dumps are made anymore
