Loading Apache at boot time

Loading Apache at boot time

Post by Jonathan Vaf » Mon, 03 Mar 1997 04:00:00

Hi-

I am having difficulty figuring out how to set my system to load Apache at
boot time.

I see in the docs, it says to add a call to the /etc/rc.d/rc.local or in
an individual /etc/rc.d/rcN.d/ directory but those files are not so
straightforward.

I keep the server at:
/usr/local/etc/httpd/src/httpd

and the conf files are at:
/usr/local/etc/httpd/conf/

Could someone please help me out?

I appreciate it.

/jjv

I believe if you place
this at the bottom of your rc.local file you should have no problem.

/usr/local/etc/httpd/src/httpd -f /usr/local/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

1. Load two apache modules at the same time...

Hello

I'm working with a CMS which can be run as an apache module.

I would like to load an old and a new version of this CMS and
access the diffentent version over two different ports (80 and 81)

but I can't load the two different versions at the same time.

LoadModule zzzzzzz_Module C:\ver1\zzzzzzzz.dll
LoadModule zzzzzzz_Module C:\ver2\zzzzzzzz.dll

the following error message appears..
[Tue Mar 12 15:50:10 2002] [warn] module zzzzzzz_Module is already loaded, skip
ping
The Apache service is starting.

does anyone know how to load two different versions of a module with just
one apache installed

I appreciate any kind of help
