Kurk, boot your pc up with clean dos and do this: fdisk /mbr
It's also documented in the FAQ.
Good luck,
Tony.
I had to resort to a low level format of the drive. I KNOW there HAS to be aQuote:>Due to disk space limitations I was forced to remove Linux from my home

>& re-formatting LILO still comes up ! Any ideas on eradicating it ?
'fdisk /mbr' from a MsDog prompt is the One and Only solution.Quote:> >Due to disk space limitations I was forced to remove Linux from my home

Good job Michael,
This really shows that people don't like to read any kind of documentation.
This question appears at least twice a day and is covered... I think in every
linux FAQ sheet.
Sorry Michael, you just threw away a couple of your hours:
fdisk /mbr (in DOS) would have done it in some... cents of second!
BTW, good linuxing to everybody
Ciao Nicky

Just do a "fdisk /mbr" from good 'ol dos, this writes a new Master Boot Record.
Hope this helps!
