Help! getting term+ange-ftp+tncftp+emacs to work

Post by Chuck Irvi » Mon, 21 Nov 1994 11:20:08

Using term, I'd like to be able to access files on a remote machine
locally from emacs. My first choice would be mounting the remote file
system. Unfortunately, It seems like this isn't supported. So, my next
choice is to access the files via ange-ftp. The only ftp package I can
locate for use with term is (t)ncfpt, but, alas, I can't get it to
work with ange-ftp. So, I have two questions:

1) Has anybody been able to get this to work with ncftp?

2) Is there just a plain "ftp" out there that has bee modified to work
with term?

Any help would be much appreciated!

The best is to just forget about emacs.  Use lynx or mosaic.
