HELP! Ultrastor 14N install!!

I have a new 486 box with a 1.2 GB SCSI HD (Toshiba) and
an ULTRASTOR 14 N controller. I found that this was a viable
configuration for Linux. But when I boot the a1.3 disk for
installation (I have SLS1.03 which is already on my other Linux
boxes), the SCSI hd is not found! It says 0 SCSI devices, hard drives
or whatever. I tried with the lates SLS a1.3 disk, but I get
the same error message. SO obviously I cannot install anything!

Is the support for the Ultrastor built into the kernel in the a1.3?
If not how do I get an install disk which can work with my HD and controller?

1. REPOST: ULTRASTOR 14N SCSI HELP!!!

Hi!
I have an Ultrastor 14N SCSI controller and a Toshiba 1.2GB drive
that works fine on DOS. However Linux SLS a1.3 disk does not
recognize my SCSI controller at all. The hardware HOWTO says
Ultrastor is supported. I followed the instructions in the
SCSI howto and set the IO to 340h and even tried booting
without my ethernet card etc. But the damn thing just
does not recognize my controller.

I am not sure about the difference b/w 14F and 14N, but the
manual says that the 14N is an AT non-Bus Master SCSI
controller, whereas the 14F is an AT Bus Master SCIS controller.
Could this be the problem? What does this mean?

I'd be really grateful for any help on this!! Please
