Trident 9000i HELP

I Have a Trident 9000i chipset with 512K of RAM.
What modes should I use in the Xconfig file ? Could anyone post
a Sample cofniguration file. I can't make it work. When I run
xinit, the video gets desynch. I have a SVGA monitor (non-multisynch).

1. SVGALib vs. Trident 9000i -- they *hate* each other

At least, they hate each other on my system. And for the life of me,
I can't make head nor tails of the SVGALib docs; it's frackin' useless
when it comes to setting up the config file.

Could someone please mail me a working config file for a Trident or VESA
card, or gimme a clue as to how to even begin knocking things into shape?
