Hi linuxers,
I was wondering why my Slackware 2.0.0 was much much slower than my old
SLS (it has one year).
Using 'top', in both system, I saw that the Slackware 'update' process
(that is a link to 'bflush' or something like that) is using most of my
CPU time, even more than the X server and any other process (more than
50% of CPU). The SLS 'update' uses almost no CPU.
The process is run into rc.S with no parameter at all.
What's going on?
Ciao and thank you,
Nicky
