Before jumping to conclusions, one should ask for help. xosview 1.4
compiled fine on my machine, so I guess they did test it ...

HOWEVER, I can't get it to work, get 'Floating Point' errors. Upgraded to
1.4 from older version after up'ing my kernel to 1.3.66, which started a
few apps crashing with FP errors. Some, such as PS, were fixed by a newer
package.

Am running 1.3.79 with XFree 3.1.2, all ELF'ed. All the latest and greatest
libs and such.

Any ideas folks?

I cannot compile it either. Using 1.2.13 and X 3.1.2D (elf).
