problems running XFree86 3.3.3.1 for Permedia II chipset

Post by Rames » Tue, 30 Mar 1999 04:00:00

I am getting error trying to run X. I upgraded my Xfree86 3.2.X version
to get the latest config for permedia II chipset.

I get a "XUNIXConnectError: Cant connect to socket 111" Error when i run
XF86Setup and  it core dumps when i run Xconfigurator.

Configuration: Red Hat 5.2, XFree86 3.3.3.1, 4MB 3DLabs Permedia 11
chipset, Celeron 366 with 32MB RAM.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

1. Accelstar II (Permedia 2) PCI and Xfree86

Is the Accelstar II PCI (3DLabs Permedia 2 chipset) supported in
the latest version of Xfree86?  When I checked xfree86's website
only the AGP version is listed as supported.  If it isn't supported
is there any way to make this card work in xfree86?

Thanks,
