Very Computer

I use xpmroot to load an image in the background while xpm prompts the
user to login.  When I logon remotely with xpmcp, I get the same login
window, but not the background painted by xpmroot.  Can someone explain
why xpmroot doesn't work with xdmcp?

(Currently I have the xpmroot command in the file xdm/Xsetup_0.)
