Very Computer

I've got a strange problem since I moved my home and var directories to
a second partition and made symlinks such as ln -s /disque2/home /home
....
I can't use del or backspace in Eterm , nor special characters (the oees
obtained with AltGr)
same problem with netscape

however i haven't got any problem using Xterm .

I don't know where the keyboard configuration files for X are but it
doesn't seem to be the problem since it works with xterms.

any idea ?
if someone knows the problem (and the solution) please could you
indicate a good online help about he topic related to my problem ?
(whatever this topic is )
