1. Compaq MV 500 Monitor and ATI 3D Rage II LT Pro
I have resolved my serious harddrive problems and have successfully
installed linux. Now I have moved on to my next problem of configuring my
video card and monitor.
My video card in ATI 3D Rage II LT Pro and my monitor is MV500. I have
tried every possible configuration using Xconfigurator. I have even tried
the XF86Config putting in all the information in manually. However, to no
avail.
The monitor has a horizontal sync rate of 31.5-54
and a Vertical sync rate of 50-90.
No matter what I try I get a black screen everytime I startx.
Does anyone have any suggestions so that I can solve this problem and move
on to bigger and better problems of config my modem and setting up a network
printer. (Oh, so much fun)
Please advise me of any suggestions.
Much Respects and Thanks!!
