XF86Config for WD/Paradise 90C31

I'm trying to improve the performance of my current X installation on my AST Power
Premium 4/33, which has an integrated WD/Paradise 90C31 video controller with 1MB
VRAM and an AT&T 20C492 RAMDAC.  I'm using a generic multisynching monitor capable
of 1024x768 at 60 Hz refresh.

I currently have got it working with 640x480 resolution, but I have not had any
luck going beyond that.  I'm using the XF86_SVGA server.

1).  Am I using the right server for my video controller?  Is there a 90C31-specific
server out there?  I looked around on several FTP sites and found one for the
     90C34 but not the 90C31.

2).  Does anyone have a similar configuration?  If so, please respond email and let
me know what server you use and (if you don't mind) please send me your
     XF86Config!!!

Thanks for your help.

1. GATEWAY CrystalScan 1200 N1 Monitor, Paradise/WD 90C31 SVGA Conf???

Any one knows the XFree86 configurations for this hardware??

The information I have from the vendor is poor and does not give you enough
to answer the setup questions correctly. I have tried several configurations
and in all of them I end with a blackout of the screen when starting X...

Also if anyone knows what to do to enable a SoundBlaster CDROM, with IDE
interface, attached by mean of a soundBlaster16 audio card???

 Your help is greatly appreciated.
