Cannot find SVGA device???????

Cannot find SVGA device???????

Post by Chris Fu » Sat, 14 Jan 1995 01:30:38

I keep getting an error Cannot find SVGA or VGA device.  XFREE runs but if I
run it more than once or twice, runx can't reload my font and I have to reboot
to see anything not in X.  I can run X again and use a shell, but I'd rather
not have to reboot as I am running a web server and don't really want it to
be down.

Thanks,
Chris.

Looks like your BIOS setup is shadowing video ROM.  Try turning that off.

1. find without the "find: cannot read dir /usr/lost+found: Permission denied"

find / -name 'foo*.h' -print 2> /dev/null

|Hi all,
|
|Is there anyway to prevent find displaying the annoying
|
|find: cannot read dir /usr/lost+found: Permission denied
|
|message?
|
|For eg:
|
|find / -name 'foo*.h' -print
