Hello Steve,

This is my Xconfig file. I use the old Xfree 2.1
You need to select the Compaq AVGA card. The dotclocks are at the end of
the config file. Resolution upto 800x600. Not higher.
I also have a Compaq Deskpro 66m and Linux/X works fine.

I have the same configuration, and also use the cpq_avga driver.
I was just wondering of anybody is working on an QVision driver?

1. Problems configuring Compaq Qvision card for X

I saw another post a day or two from someone concerning problems getting a Qvision 1024/E card to run at 1024x768.  I am having a
similar problem on my DeskPro 66M.  I can get 640x480 ok, 800x600 is slightly garbled, and 1024x768 does not work at all.  I thing
I noticed is that the system thinks I only have 512K ram on the video board, but I know it has 1meg - which plenty for 1024x768x256.

Is there any drivers in the works to support Qvision cards?  I heard there might be, but have found nothing - any help or ideas would
be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Chuck Homola
