Diamond SpeedStar24x and XFree86 3.1.1.

        I have a SS24x with 1 meg of DRAM.  The chipset is the Western
Digital 90c31...  can I assume the following is true:

1) This card with this chipset can only run in 640x480x256.
2) There is no X server out there to run in 32K colors at any resolution.

Please, someone prove me wrong.  Linux is awesome, XFree86 is magnificent
(once it's setup), but I cant stand running in 256 colors.  Can anyone
give me a concise answer?  Thanks, Id apprecite it.

1. Diamond speedstar24X/Nec M.sync 4FG Xconfig?

Hello,

        I'm looking for a Xconfig file addepted for a
videocard/monitor combination of the above. I can not
use the examples (the related devices don't work either).
So any help would be appreciated. Please mail responses.


PS:     BTW, the 640x480 colour mode works.
PPS:    Dotclocks would also be appreciated.
