Trident 9660 + XFree86 3.1.2D

THANK YOU XFree86 Developers.
XFree86 3.1.2D works fine with my Trident 9660.
One minor problem which I was not able to solve with
xvidtune is that the viewing area does not take up
the entire screen (i.e significant black edges).
Anyway I'm not complining.

1. Trident GUI 9660 & 3.1.2A

I have a Trident GUI 9660 which I have been using with the patched SVGA driver.
I have managed to get 1024x768 in 16 colours.

I was hoping that with the new beta SVGA driver with 9440 support I might be able
to see 256 colours at last, but all I get is several copies of the screen in
horizontal strips across the screen.

Has anyone had any positive results with this card and driver.  Is the 9660
compatible with the 9440?
