Video Modes for NEC Laptop LCD display ?

We received an old NEC 486SX/C laptop computer, and I would like to run
X11 on it.  Running SuperProbe displays

First video: Super-VGA
        Chipset: WD/Paradise 90C11
        Memory:  512 Kbytes
        RAMDAC:  Generic 8-bit pseudo-color DAC
(with 6-bit wide lookup tables (or in 6-bit mode))

Next I run xf86config, but I don't have any info on the V&H rates for the
display.  My guesses were not right, as I can make the X server start, but
the screen is blank.  From probeonly I get

(--) SVGA: chipset:  wd90c10
(--) SVGA: videoram: 512k
(--) SVGA: clocks:  28.40  28.32  28.33  28.33  28.39  28.31  28.31  28.31
(--) SVGA: clocks:  47.01
(--) SVGA: Maximum allowed dot-clock: 90.000 MHz
(**) SVGA: Mode "640x480": mode clock =  28.175, clock used =  28.310

Any info on the LCD display would be welcomed :)

Thanks,
Peter
