XWindows memory problem

Don't know why... the xwindows use so many memory in my machine...
Anyone have any idea? Is it because of icewm? or is it because of I
using chbg to change the desktop background? or it is NVIDIA driver problem?

Or is it because top can not count memory usage correct?

Among other things the nvidia driver mmaps the graphics
memory many times, top counts all these in strange ways.
This is a question that comes up every now and
then, Im sure that it is in the FAQ.

> Don't know why... the xwindows use so many memory in my machine...

Sorry, I don't know how to help you, however "xwindows" is wrong.

Correct:

  The X Window-system
or
  X

or

  Xfree86

still same thing... however, it loads sometime... and the xwindow
crashes after a while...  I don't have any problems within Windows...
