XF86Config for SPEA V7 Mirage P64 2MB PCI

Post by Michael Hellma » Fri, 18 Aug 1995 04:00:00

I have a lot of problems with the configuration of my XF86Config.
For the following hardware only the 800x600 mode works fine, but I want
to use 1024x768. I think the reason for my problems are the modelines.
I hate modelines ...

Who can give me some tips or can send me his XF86Config?

Thanks,
Michael

1. X11 and SPEA V7 Mirage P64 PCI

Hello,

I've the last November LINUX Version from S.U.S.E and want to configure X11.
I can start the S3 Xserver, but the X looks "unhealthy" (obviously some Graphic
Board paramters are wrong) and all the time I use the mouse, the root menu
appears w/o pressing any button.

Hardware:

Monitor: Triumph-Adler TA-726MXL, equal to Samsung

Graphicboard: Spea V7 Mirage P64 PCI, Bios Version 4.02h, 2MB Dram

The xf86config command found this board in its database and I followed the
instructions well.

Xserver messages:

In the README.S3 file I read that I should use RAMDAC: SRAMDAC, but no success.

Can anybode help me?

Best regards
