Please Help!  I Can not Get X to run.  I have Kernal 1.2.13 slakware

  I have included quite a bit, but I figured too much was better than
not enough. I have included;

- The result of running startx

- The result of running SuperProbe

- The info from my Monitor Owners Manual

- The /etc/XF86Config that was generated as a result of running the /usr/X11/bin/xf86config script

I have an H.P. Vectra 486/25 n. It has a built-in video card.
Video Memory 512K
My monitor is an H.P. 14" D1195A  "Ergo Super VGA"

Strange, you only asked for

neither "6 bits per RGB" nor "1024x600"!
Did you try the SVGA server? Did you try "Virtual 640x480"?

As you have only 3 valid modes, i would backup the XF86Config somewhere and
remove the invalid entries (to get rid of most of the (--) and reduce file
size/increase readability).

The frequencies of the three valid entries are correct. I wonder why there is
no
  (**) S3: Mode "800x600": mode clock = 50, clock used = 50.18
line?
