Configuring RH5.2 /w XF3.3.3 as a X-term?

I am new to X.  Could some one tell me how to configure my
RH5.2 /w XF3.3.3 as an X-terminal?  I.e., logon to my
Sun Sparc server and run X-apps and have the XGUI
displayed on my RH PC.

Thanks in advance.

On your RH PC type:

xhost +<your sun machine name> (for example xhost +carl.pppl.gov)

open up another xterm and type:

Telnet <your sun machine>

once you have logged in set the display on your sun machine to <your PC
ip address>:0.0
(for csh and tcsh use "setenv DISPLAY <your PC ip address>:0.0", for
bash or ksh use "export DISPLAY=<your PC ip address>:0.0") and start
whatever x app you want on the sun -- it will pop up on your RH PC.

There are better ways to do this but this will work (rsh can be used
here too, I think - I use xrsh on my solaris machine which sends all of
the display info automagically)

After logining into one of the virtual terminals try:
   X -query  <hostname>  ie:  X -query foo.dum.com
This will present you with a login screen from your
Sun system if the Sun has its X server running.
To stop the X-query session go to the original
virtual terminal and terminate the session, I use
CTRL-C..

Just a little tip:
if you want to login only once by this methode, use :
X -query -once <hostname>
