I have a S3 Trio 64 Chipset, a genuine MS Mouse (on Com1), Linux 2.0.23
when I startx
1. It starts the GUI alrite 8)
2. the mouse doesn't work   8(
3. the screen doesn't seem to all there ... ie. I can not see any menu
bars or so forth 8(.

With the mouse.
I have /dev/mouse pointing to /dev/cua0
and have used xf86config to set it up as a Microsoft Mode Mouse on
/dev/mouse, and gpm is not running (what does gpm do any way ????)

I have tried all the different Mousedrivers, tried several different
mice, all with no luck..... Maybe it is the com port (hmmmmm .... I will
try that somehow).

NeWays all help appreciated Greatly,

1. HELP! having problems with getting uucp/mether going...

I'm trying to set up a system (solaris 2.3) to use both ethernet and uucp for
sending and receiving mail into my home network.  I seem to be having a bit of
problems with selecting and configuring the proper  version of sendmail.cf.

I was told to use the subsidirary.cf (sic) file, and to copy it into
/etc/sendmail.cf.  when I do such, I try to send a message out to
a uucp machine that I am connected to via worldblazers.  Unfortunately,
when i check the /var/spool/mqueue file, i see the results of this:
a deferred message is created and stays in my system.

I had changed the entry in my /etc/hosts file to make my local system the
mailhost.

can anyone help me with resolving this issue?  I had configured smail on Linux
systems in the past successfully.  it's been a while since I had
to setup sendmail on a sun system -- last time being on a 3/110 running
SunOS 3.5.

thanks
bob
