My X display does not fill the whole monitor screen. Instead, there is
about an inch and a half of black space along the left hand side. Is there
a way to fine tune the display to get it to fill/center in the monitor?

Read VideoModes.doc in the directory /var/X11R6/lib/doc it will tell
you everything you ever wanted to know about configuring your
system for X, including the problem you describe.

Go to the back of the monitor and adjust the horizontal knob. I did this to
get a snappy 1164x897 resolution on the screen.

Greetings,
I'm working with several machines which print to a HP 9100 network
color printer. All machines are running Solaris 8 sparc sun4u. One
machine is printing all requests off center. I'm not sure what would
be causing this. All other machines print normally. I have noticed
some differences in the /etc/lp files, but I'm not sure where to
start. Any advise?
