Voodoo Banshee under Linux -- Page Update

Post by Anthony D'Amic » Fri, 27 Nov 1998 04:00:00

I've been doing some updates and playing around with the new XFree86
v3.3.3 FBDev server.  Looks like v3.3.3 supports all the different color
depth modes necessary, 8, 16, 24, and 32-bit.  The server still requires
some tweaks  in the XF86Config file.  On another note, my page has a few
updates and a new FAQ section.  I'll increase the FAQ section as more
and more people ask me weirder and weirder questions :)  Check it out

Good Luck with all your conquests,

1. Page Update: Solution for Banshee under Linux

I've done some updating on the HOWTO on how to setup a Banshee under
Linux as a Frame Buffer Device.  Check it out at:

I have just recently acquired my copy of Solaris 7 and I will now begin
looking into setting up the Banshee under Solaris' /dev/fb0.  It
"SHOULD" be rather similar.  Then again we are discussing Solaris...

Good Luck in your conquests.
